About

Megan’s determination to pursue her passion for equestrian sport led her to seek out education and mentorship from some of the industry’s most respected professionals.

Throughout her career, Megan has been fortunate to work with several influential figures, including multi-Olympic rider and coach Karen O’Connor, as well as Pan American Silver Medalist and Paralympic team coach Missy Ransehousen. She continues to advance her education by training with internationally renowned event rider Boyd Martin.

Megan takes great pride in the diversity of her program, successfully developing and competing a wide range of horses—from Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds (OTTBs) to imported sport horses—up through the CCI*** level. Her long-standing dedication to OTTBs reflects her belief in their talent and potential for successful second careers in eventing.

She operates out of her home base, Megan Edwards Eventing, home of, “Team Have At It”, located in Richmond, Kentucky, and spends the winter season training and competing in Ocala, Florida.

“I’ve personally coached Megan for 2 years and I can tell you … she is very competitive in the upper levels.”

Richmond is home base for Megan and her husband, Trent

Megan and her husband, Trent Edwards, own a beautiful 90-acre farm in Richmond, Kentucky. The farm features rolling hills, peaceful creeks, and tall, mature trees, making it a favorite spot for the whole team.

When Trent isn’t working at the fire station, he’s usually on his tractor or busy with a project. He works hard to keep the farm looking great, from the groomed arena to the mowed paths around the property. He plays a big role in keeping everything running smoothly and is always ready to greet visitors with a friendly smile.

You will often find Megan working the horses on the hills to build a strong horse and keep them in tip top shape. The farm also boasts a beautiful barn, a large 125 x 200 arena with GGT fiber footing as well as a beautiful cross country course.

Megan houses her full training horses at her farm in Richmond but also opens the farm up for her team and the community to come out and enjoy. On any given day, you will find haul-ins for lessons, fitness work on the hills, gallop sets or just a fun trail ride with the team.
